Thanksgiving Feast. We have a unique opportunity to serve the ENGLISH CLASS community of London Towne Elementary School. We will be hosting a Thanksgiving feast for the, their families and the CPC volunteers on Wednesday, November 20 from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm. We are looking for volunteers to assist in the set-up, clean up and serving, as well as 3 people willing to drive our 2 Vans and a bus. We hope to shuttle many people between LTES and CPC in a short time. Mountain View HS- 2 Student Needs.There is a need to assist 2 students and their families during the holiday season. They do not live in the Fairfax County area and are not covered by other holiday assistance programs. If you might be interested in hosting one of these families with food, Christmas gifts and some appropriate seasons clothing, let Kim Gilbert know at (
Kim@cpceco.org). We are looking for financial assistance as well as shopping. Thank you for your consideration.
Cooking Class. Why not join us one or more months showing some of your cook skills, whether they are shortcuts, how to use a recipe, a healthy quick meal or even how to make a pie crust! Many of these students have not been exposed to many things we can teach them. Barbara Plaster is coordinating the volunteers, coordinating activities and

Items. On Saturday, November 2 we serve at the Lamb Center, a day shelter for homeless men and women. Would you be able to help with food (fruit, yogurt, casseroles) or your time? Details on our

Paper Product Plus Collection. It’s our final week to receive paper supplies for the
Lamb Center (day shelter for the homeless)? They need sturdy paper plates and bowls, plastic cutlery, cold drink mix, 55-gallon, and 13-gallon trash bags, and more. List available at the Connection Center and on our
website. Items are needed by October 31.
Missions Planning. The 4th Quarter Meeting is Sunday, November 3 (11:30 am-1 pm) at CPC. Do justice issues or homelessness burden you? Does your heart ache for orphans or impoverished villages and those who do not yet know Jesus? Join us to plan CPC’s 2019-2020 missional engagement.
