CPC supports Paula Puckett as she serves graduate students at Cambridge University. She continues her long-term service with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship USA, now “on loan” to the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES) and its affiliate in the UK, UCCF (Christian Unions). Paula spends most of her ministry time assisting the Cambridge Christian Graduate Society  (CGS). Paula is also networking with the National Christian Postgraduate Conference as they seek to create a nationwide movement among graduate students. Paula writes in a recent newsletter:

”[In order to serve graduate students] it has become clear that the Cambridge Christian Graduate Society is a natural fit for me.  Of the various ventures in the city, the CGS most closely resembles a typical Grad Fellowship in the US.  I’ve been warmly welcomed by its Board to come alongside the CGS in ministry.  But in addition to serving the CGS, I’m spending a good deal of time exploring what is happening among graduate students at the national level.  Nearly every week, I’ve learned about a different fellowship of Christian graduate students around the UK, or a new endeavor or institute whose purpose is to serve postgraduate students.  …Needless to say, as I meet with various leaders from institutions such as Veritas Forum, Tyndale House, Trinity Forum, Christian Academic Network, etc., I find that my excitement is growing about the future here.”

Paula is also serving on the planning committee for the Cambridge “Forming a Christian Mind Conference” in April, and has started a Cambridge Graduate Women’s Fellowship as an outreach ministry to female academics. She is particularly excited about the strategic nature of grad ministry in Cambridge, as scholars of the highest caliber come to study from all over the world.  A recent international grad student outreach event had scholars from India, Iran, Germany, China, Hong Kong, Scotland, Canada, the USA etc.

Please hold Paula, her husband, Blake, and their children Erika (17), Hannah (16) and Zachary (14) in your prayers. Thank you for your prayers!
