We invite our CPC family and friends to join us as we remember and celebrate the Lent season.  Lent, in the Christian church, a period of penitential preparation for Easter.  It begins on Ash Wednesday, six and a half weeks before Easter, and provides for a 40-day fast (Sundays are excluded), in imitation of Jesus Christ’s fasting in the wilderness before he began his public ministry.

Ash Wednesday, Wednesday, March 2nd is the first day of Lent, occurring six and a half weeks before Easter.  Ash Wednesday is a solemn reminder of human mortality and the need for reconciliation with God and marks the beginning of the penitential Lenten season.  It is commonly observed with ashes and fasting.  CPC will observe Ash Wednesday by hosting a night of worship at 7:30 p.m. to remember and commemorate our need for reconciliation with Christ.  (in-person only/no livestream)

Palm Sunday, Sunday, April 10th is the first day of Holy Week and the Sunday before Easter, commemorating Jesus Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem.  It is associated in many churches with the procession of palms (leaves from the date palm or twigs from locally available trees).  On this Sunday, 9:00am in-person worship/livestream, then  our CPC kids will help lead our congregation in worship at the 10:30am worship service.

Good Friday, Friday, April 15th the Friday before Easter, is the day on which Christians observe the commemoration of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ on the cross.  This Good Friday CPC will be hosting a night of worship at 7:30 p.m. to commemorate and remember this triable event that sets up Easter, the greatest event known to mankind.

Lunch and Hunt, April 16th is back. We will enjoy egg hunts, games, activities, reptile petting zoo, lunch and special entertainment. Click here for more information and to register.

Easter, Sunday, April 17th we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  When, on the third day after his crucifixion He victoriously rose from the dead and conquered death, hell and the grave.  CPC will be celebrating this day with 2 services at 9 a.m. which will be an indoor service and at 10:30 a.m. which will be an outdoor service (weather permitting).
