Thanksgiving Meal. THANK YOU to everyone for your help with the Thanksgiving celebration! It was a joy to work together to serve our neighbors.
Giving Tree. The Christmas Giving Tree in the lobby displays special gift request “ornaments” for children’s gifts (Our Neighbor’s Child), hygiene items for homeless, and gift cards for impoverished students. Gifts (unwrapped) are needed by December 8. Thank you!
Short-term Missions. Teams are forming for several projects to serve our ministry partners. In 2020, we will serve in West Virginia (April 5-9), Guatemala (July 4-11), and Zambia (August 1-14). On Sunday, Dec 8 (11:30-12:15pm), Join Missions Director Sharon Hoover to learn about the needs and the opportunities.
Cooking Class. Why not join us one or more months showing some of your cook skills, whether they are shortcuts, how to use a recipe, a healthy quick meal or even how to make a pie crust! Many of these students have not been exposed to many things we can teach them. Barbara Plaster is coordinating the volunteers, coordinating activities and can answer any questions you might have about this special class. Weekend Food. We need one more person for our team delivering the Weekend Food bags to London Towne ES (once a month, pick-up at CPC and deliver to LTES).
