Where are we going?

We will be serving with Todd and Maureen Erickson in Guatemala. Most of Guatemala’s population is rural, though urbanization is accelerating. According to the US State Department, about 51% of the population lives on less than $2 a day and 15% on less than $1 a day. More than half of Guatemalans are descendants of indigenous Mayan peoples. Guatemala’s social development indicators, such as infant mortality, chronic child malnutrition, and illiteracy, are among the worst in the western hemisphere.

What Will We Do?

We will partner with the Ericksons and Iglesia Del Camino in their outreach ministries. They respond to crisis needs as well as invest in long-term relationship to open doors to share the good news of Jesus Christ. Specifically, we will install improved wood burning stoves, build houses, and participate in children’s ministries and ESL outreaches.

Where Will We Stay? Our team will stay in guest house hotel in Antigua, Guatemala. It will serve as our home base as we drive out to serve in rural villages and in the city.
