This weekend is going to be a significant one for Centreville Presbyterian. As many of you know, CPC has been a part of a cohort with nine churches from around the country who are part of ECO. What these churches have in common is the commitment o take steps in order to be more deliberate in fulfilling the great commission that Jesus gave his disciples: to experience Church growth by focusing on those who don’t know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

What makes this weekend significant is that there will be a team headed up by Dr. Paul Borden who will come in and finish the assessment of the strengths and areas of growth that we, CPC, have as a church. The assessment weekend will culminate with Dr. Borden preaching during the Sunday worship service and then immediately following the service, he and his team will submit their report to our congregation.

If you know that you will not be present at Sunday’s service please go on to the CPC website sometime following the Sunday morning service to read the report. This is important because on Tuesday, November 13,  we will hold a Town Hall meeting at 7 PM for the purpose of the congregation to share its questions and comments regarding the report.

In preparation, the session is asking the entire congregation to be in prayer, and to ask the Lord to use this assessment to reveal the direction He wants for us as a church.

Saturday evening at 7:00 PM there will be a prayer time for the Lord’s leading., held for those who can join us here to pray at CPC.
