Common Good Conference with Aaron McMillan. We’re all gardeners. Whether or not you cultivate a small or large plot of land in your backyard, you’re called to cultivate, keep and renew the place you find yourself. Cultivation and restoration happen in your work. The place you cultivate might be at home, an office, or somewhere you steward the work of your hands. The Common Good Conference will encourage you in your place, your work, and your faith. Join us as we explore key themes of creating, investing, protecting, preserving, healing and more.  CPC is a host site of the live-streamed event on Friday, October 1st from 10am-2pm EST in room 101. Snacks and lunch included. To register, click HERE.

Fall LifeGroups. LifeGroups begin October 3rd! For 7 weeks, we’ll review the past Sunday’s “Life on Life” message, diving deeper into Philippians together as a small group. Click HERE for details and to register.

Adult Bible Studies. It’s not too late to join an Adult Bible Study. Gather in-person or virtually for Women’s studies, Co-ed studies, or with others new to our church community. Click HERE for details and to register.

Refugee Resettlement Team. We will begin supporting refugee families within the next week or two. Needs include: welcome team, household set-up, specialized assistance (English, school registration, and paperwork, etc), one-time needs (furniture pick-up, etc), and ongoing on-call assistance. Please contact Sharon Hoover (sharon@cpceco.org) if you would like more information or are able to assist in any way.

English Class teachers and assistants. This Fall, we will resume English Classes for parents of London Towne Elementary. Would you pray about joining our team to serve? We need teachers and assistants, as well as helpers for the children’s homework room. Contact Director of Missions, Sharon Hoover, if you have questions or are available to serve.

God’s Garden. CPC’s vegetable garden has grown lots of vegetables for families in our community and congregation. It’s time to prepare for winter. We need large pieces of cardboard (the larger the better). Additionally, the cardboard needs to be plain and brown (with minimal printing on the outside), unwaxed (no colored cardboard), tape and labels removed, and all staples removed. Cardboard is needed by October 3 (or sooner).

Important CPCKids Update for parents of children that attend 10:30am services. Children grow in faith by seeing their families worship together. On Sunday, October 3rd we will return to children worshiping with parents and then dismissing to CPCKids Class prior to the message. Look for the CPCKids leaders in bright teal shirts – they will lead children to classrooms. Children can then be picked up in assigned rooms or if indicated, the playground. More info online HERE.
