CPCKids will be holding our first ever Pumpkin Bash on Saturday, November 6th from 3-5pm. We invite all ages to family-friendly fun, a pumpkin-chucking competition, and pie eating contests. Create any type of launching device, bring your old carved pumpkins and join us as we bash our pumpkins! Meeting for English Class teachers and prospective teachers. This Fall, we will resume English Classes for parents of London Towne Elementary. Would you pray about joining our team to serve? We need teachers and assistants, as well as helpers for the children’s homework room. Sharon Hoover is having an Interest Meeting next week, Oct 31st between the worship services in Room 104. Come check out the curriculum and meet our English class team!
Paper Product Plus Collection. Many thanks for the Lamb Center homeless shelter donations this month. We are still looking for more Ziploc bags, disposable razors, 13-gallon trash bags, and more. List available at the Connection Center and online. Items are needed by October 31.
Refugee Resettlement. We are gathering household items for our incoming refugee family. At this time, we are collecting home supplies such as alarm clocks, skillets, and pans. All details are in the sign-up list. If you have furniture items to donate, please email a photo of the item to Carol Wallace (carol.k.wallace@gmail.com). Please also email Carol if you are interested in helping with the resettlement efforts.
Student Ministry Halloween All Nighter Event. Saturday, October 30th at 7pm we will have a Halloween party at the church. Middle schoolers will be picked up at 10pm. High Schoolers have the option to bring a sleeping bag to stay overnight and attend church the following morning, or to be picked up on Sunday at 7am. All students may come in a costume and bring a flashlight. For identification and accountability reasons, no full face Halloween masks allowed. CPC Students will be going on a retreat at Camp Joy El in Pennsylvania for a weekend of fun and growing in faith — November 5th-7th for High Schoolers and November 19th-21st for Middle Schoolers. Centreville Presbyterian Church will be calling a congregational meeting immediately following the 10:30am worship service on November 7th, for the purposes of:
- Approving 2021 and 2022 Associate Pastor Terms of Call for Rev. Paul Lauerman
- Approving 2022 Terms of Call for Rev. Aaron McMillan (Senior Pastor)
- Approving 2022 Elder, Deacon, and Nominating Committee candidates
