Sunday Seminar Series: “God in the Workplace” beginning Nov 5th. Americans on average spend more time in the workplace than anywhere else. How should faith in Christ change the way we approach those jobs and the way we survive them? Join us at 9am in Room 201 to explore these topics together:

  • God in the Forensic Lab (Nov 5th): Bob Bever will share his experience as a forensic scientist for over 30 years. He has had the responsibility and testifying in over 150 times on civil and criminal trials and had the honor of working with hundreds of scientists over his career (in addition to developing the cheek swab).
  • God in the Classroom (November 12th): Charles Forrest and Renee Miller have faced a uniquely difficult cultural and economic battleground in their time serving as principals of public schools in Northern Virginia.
  • God in the Crisis Zone (November 19th): Tony Polizzi has done things. Some he can talk about. Some he cannot.

CPC 101. Have you considered becoming a member of CPC? Maybe you’re a new visitor or someone that has spent many Sundays with us. Our CPC 101 membership class will be held at Nov 12th after 2nd service in room 201. For more information contact Paul Lauerman at Paul@cpceco.org.

Little Lambs Ministry. Have you heard of the Little Lambs Ministry here at CPC?  We are a group of knitters and crocheters who create blankets and shawls for members in need of a tangible way of being wrapped in God’s love.  The items are prayed over before being delivered to a recipient and love is knit into every stitch. We would love to bless you with one of our lovely items.  We have baby blankets for new babies.  We also have lap blankets or shawls for those perhaps recovering from an illness or surgery, on bed rest, are going through a difficult time or have lost someone special. To request a blanket or shawl, please contact your deacon or Karen Wroniewicz in the front office.  If you have any questions or would like to join our team of fiber artists, please contact Susan Blair at SusanDBlair@aol.com.

Holiday food assistance. Food distribution for Thanksgiving and Christmas is approaching! They will take place at WFCM’s Chantilly location on Saturday, Nov 18th and Saturday, Dec 16th. The food boxes will be given out via a drive-thru distribution. Click here to sign up for November. Click here to sign up for December.

Math Tutor Outreach. The tutoring team for 2nd-graders at London Towne Elementary School is moving to Wednesdays (8-8:45am). We need four more tutors to best support the teachers. Would you have 45 minutes to share with the LTES children beginning October 25? Contact Dir. of Missions Sharon Hoover (sharon@cpceco.org) with any questions and to sign up.

The platform, available on the web or as an App, will provide access to nearly everything needed for church life in one convenient place.
