Spoiler Alert. We conclude our Sunday Seminar series this week by asking: What should Christians really be watching? How spiritually healthy are Harry Potter, Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones? Room 201 from 9:30-10:30am. RSVP with email@example.com for childcare.
NEXT TOPIC: “Turning Down the Volume.” In a world where people are more divided by the day, we want to be a church where people can come together to talk about difficult topics. Join us for three Sunday mornings from 9:30am-10:30am in 201 as we unpack these elephants in the church in the light of Christ’s Grace:
- Nov. 6th: Should Christians Get Woke?
- Nov. 13th: Should Churches Get Political?
- Nov. 20th: Gender, Identity and Sexuality
Jobs For Life. Would you be interested in being a mentor to help someone break out of the cycle of poverty? With a network of area churches, CPC will host the 8-week class this winter. We are hosting an Interest meeting for the next Work Life class at the Lamb Center on Saturday, October 29 at 1pm-2:00 pm. Contact Sharon Hoover with questions (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Paper Product Plus Collection. Next time you go to the grocery store, would you pick-up paper supplies for the Lamb Center (day shelter for the homeless)? They need sturdy paper plates and bowls, plastic cutlery, cold & hot beverage cups (8oz), paper towels, 13-gallon trash bags with drawstrings, and more. List available at the Connection Center and online. Items are needed by October 31.
New At CPC. Want to get connected at CPC? Come join our pastors for our monthly meeting on October 30th after church to hear more about life in our church family! Lunch and childcare provided.
Virtual Life Group. Have difficulty making it out to a small group on weekdays? Join our virtual Life Group that meets on Wednesdays at 7:00pm. All you need to do is show up (virtually). Just click here for the Zoom link to join.
Little Lambs Ministry. Attention Knitters and Crocheters! A new ministry is starting up and we need fiber artists to help! Would you knit a shawl, lap robe, or baby blanket for a member of our church family and help us to show them God’s love in a very tangible way? There will be an informational table in the church lobby on 10/30 after both services. If you have questions or if you would like to sign up, please contact Susan Blair (email@example.com).
