Coat Collection. During the month of August we are collecting new and gently-used coats, jackets, and hooded sweatshirts for local teens in impoverished families. Counselors at Westfield High School and Stone Middle School noted that most needed are Adult Large sizes, but also adult Medium and X-Large would be most welcome (and in dark colors). Thank you!
Sunday Seminar “Portraits in Leadership” Begins This Sunday. We all look to iconic figures – Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Martin Luther King – as examples of how to lead. Is this actually a good thing? What actually makes a great Christian leader? Come join us as we analyze the virtues and vices of these famous leaders through a Christian lens. We will meet July 30th, Aug 6th, and Aug 13th at 9 am in Room 201.
Newcomers Meet & Greet. If you are new to CPC, we’d love a chance to say hi and get to know you better. Let’s relax and chat after service, this Sunday, July 30th at 11:45am in the church lobby. Nursery will be provided.

Increasing need for Pot Roasts. The number of men and women is increasing at the Lamb Center (day shelter for people experiencing homelessness). We are responding by increasing the number of pot roasts we serve for our monthly meal. Would you prepare one of the thirteen roasts for August 15? Bring fully assembled on Sunday, August13 or bring hot to CPC by 10:00am on August 15. A simple recipe is on the CPC sign-up page and on our website. Let us know on the Sign-up Genius form.
New Ministry Opportunity. Would you be available to deliver pot roasts to the Lamb Center? With our rotation, each team member delivers once a quarter. The commitment is 10:00am – 11:30am on the 3rd Tuesday of your month, which includes wrapping and picking up the pot roasts at CPC then driving them to the Lamb Center in Fairfax. Fall Leaders Launch. On August 26th, join us for one of the most important events of the year: our annual leader launch! We will do some critical training, organization, and vision casting for the work God will do through us this coming year. Will meet in 206 from 9-11 am. Light refreshments and childcare will be provided.
Men’s 2nd Annual Cornhole Tournament. Let the games commence and the fun begin Saturday, 19 August at 11am, here at CPC. The guys will eat, enjoy company and play until a cornhole champion is named! More details to come.
Lumina Women’s Conference Reminder. Lumina is on its way. Ladies, it’s time to relax, retreat, reconnect, and engage in relationship.
