Urgent request from the Refugee Resettlement Team. We are searching for temporary housing for an Afghan refugee (up to six months). This single woman has only one week in her current housing. High School Winter Retreat & Ski Trip sign ups are due tomorrow, Monday January 10th! We are going to Rhodes Grove camp and White Tail for skiing January 28th-30th. Many thanks for your generous gifts throughout the Christmas season for our local community and global partner! From your Giving Tree donations, we assembled 40 gift bags for homeless women, gave school counselors $1,200 in gift cards for vulnerable teens, and gave 35 toys for needy children. For our special gift to Every Orphan’s Hope, your donations totaled $45,037! And, 100% will go to EOH for the expansion of their ministry in Zambia.
Pot Roasts Needed. This month we return to bringing pot roast lunches to the Lamb Center (homeless day shelter). Would you prepare one of the eight roasts needed? A simple recipe is on the CPC sign-up page and on our website. Make ahead and put in the CPC refrigerator on Sunday (Jan. 16), or bring hot to CPC on Tuesday morning, January 18th by 10:30am.
