On August 26th, join us for one of the most important events of the year: our annual Leaders Launch! We will do some critical training, organization and vision casting for the work God will do through us this coming year. We will meet in Room 206 from 9am to 11am. Light refreshments and childcare will be provided.
Thank you to our Summer Interns. One of our favorite things about summer is our internship program! Our interns Emilene, Jonathan, Sarah, Jocelyn and Joey have all been such a tremendous help to our Staff, playing key roles in our CPCKids, Student Ministry, and Worship ministries. An even greater joy is watching these young adults grow up in our church family, serving and maturing as leaders in their faith. Thank you for joining us in praying blessings over them as they depart for the academic year.
Newcomers Meet & Greet This Sunday. If you’re new to CPC and would like to know more about us, please join us for our Newcomers Meet & Greet, this Sunday at 11:45am after 2nd service in the foyer.
CPCKids Family Worship. Our last Family Worship of the summer will be on Sept 3rd. We have enjoyed having an intergenerational worship for the last 3 months and especially having our 1st – 5th graders witness and experience Communion. Thank you, church family, for welcoming and encouraging them.
Coat Collection. During the month of August we are collecting new and gently-used coats, jackets, and hooded sweatshirts for local teens in impoverished families. Counselors at Westfield High School and Stone Middle School noted that most needed are Adult Large sizes, but also adult Medium and X-Large would be most welcome (and in dark colors). Drop off in the designated box in CPC’s lobby. Thank you!
Reading glasses and children’s books. This month, we are also collecting new reading glasses (in all strengths) for the church in Indonesia, as well as collecting children’s books teaching Bible stories. All donations are needed by August 31st. Questions? Contact Bradley Johannes (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Elementary School Mentors. Would you be interested in working with needy children in our community? Two opportunities to serve at London Towne Elementary will begin soon. First, we will return to serve as 2nd Grade math tutors on Tuesdays (8:00-8:45am). Second, we will help with the after-school club, Girls On The Run. GOTR is seeking women to be running buddies with the girls. Contact Sharon Hoover (email@example.com) if you might be interested in either outreach opportunities.
Women’s Bible Study. Want to dive deeper in the the New Testament? Weekly Women’s Bible study begins September 13th. Wednesdays at 9am & 7pm in Room 101.
