Leadership Sunday Seminar | How To ACTUALLY Win The Argument. Too often, we live in a world of people yelling at each other. No one listens. No one changes their mind. How do you speak in a way that actually persuades people? How do you lead in a way that motivates peoples’ hearts? Join us at 9am this Sunday in Room 201.
Coat Collection. During the month of August we are collecting new and gently-used coats, jackets, and hooded sweatshirts for local teens in impoverished families. Counselors at Westfield High School and Stone Middle School noted that most needed are Adult Large sizes, but also adult Medium and X-Large would be most welcome (and in dark colors). Drop off in the designated box in CPC’s lobby. Thank you!
Men’s 2nd Annual Cornhole Tournament. Calling all the men of CPC for our annual Cornhole Tournament and BBQ. Let’s have a great time playing games, hanging out and eating great food, Saturday, August 19th at 11am, here at CPC.
Increasing need for Pot Roasts. The number of men and women is increasing at the Lamb Center (day shelter for people experiencing homelessness). We are responding by increasing the number of pot roasts we serve for our monthly meal. Would you prepare one of the thirteen roasts for August 15? Bring fully assembled on Sunday, August13 or bring hot to CPC by 10:00am on August 15. A simple recipe is on the CPC sign-up page and on our website. Let us know on the Sign-up Genius form.
Life First Job Opportunity. Our mission partner, Life First, is seeking an Administrative Assistant. The position is a 2-day a week job that includes managing baby bottles and coordinating volunteers. Must be a committed believer, pro-life and active in a local church. Fall Leaders Launch. On August 26th, join us for one of the most important events of the year: our annual leader launch! We will do some critical training, organization, and vision casting for the work God will do through us this coming year. Will meet in 206 from 9-11 am. Light refreshments and childcare will be provided.
New Ministry Opportunity. Would you be available to deliver pot roasts to the Lamb Center? With our rotation, each team member delivers once a quarter. The commitment is 10:00am – 11:30am on the 3rd Tuesday of your month, which includes wrapping and picking up the pot roasts at CPC then driving them to the Lamb Center in Fairfax.
