CPC News and Updates

We believe that prayer is essential to our community, so we encourage you to email any requests to prayer@cpceco.org and let our prayer team know how they can be praying for you.

STEPHEN MINISTRY. We offer one-to-one support with our Stephen Ministers who are trained and supervised laypeople providing confidential Christian care to individuals facing life challenges. These include major disruptions like loss of a job, a serious medical diagnosis, divorce, or the death of a loved one, as well as more subtle difficulties like becoming a new parent or an empty-nester, providing long-term caring to a loved one, or experiencing loneliness or isolation due to COVID-19. We want to help. Contact Rev. Chris Hammond at chris@cpceco.org for more information.

ADULT Life Groups. Life groups are an amazing way to get connected in a small group setting and grow in your faith. Set-Free Life Groups meet weekly and coincide with our current sermon series. More information is available on our website – check times, locations, and sign up HERE.

FOOD. The Emergency Meals Team, in conjunction with the Deacon Ministry, is here to help during times of need. There are occasions when someone in our CPC community appreciates a meal being provided. For example, arrival of a new baby, loss of a loved one, recovering from surgery or other health situations.  We also assist with receptions for Celebrations of Life services. If you would like to be part of this ministry SIGN UP HERE or contact Stephanie Muggleworth at fivemuggs@gmail.com if you have any questions.

First Quarter Financial Update. As of March 31, we have received $261,000 in contributions year to date. This amounts to 24% of total budgeted contributions for 2021 in the first 25% of the year. We are off to a good start, but giving is approximately $10,000 less than budgeted year to date. Expenses are in line with budget through the end of the first quarter.

Our Fresh Start fund reached 90% of the pledged total as of the end of March, with two months remaining until this campaign is scheduled to end. We expect the funds available will help us explore new ways to reach our community once this Fresh Start campaign is finished in May! Thank you so much, Congregation!
