2022 Ministry GOALS

MISSIONS

  • Develop a sustainable Refugee Resettlement ministry, including additional Family Contacts, Furnishings & Transportation Team, and Welcome Team.
  • Encourage every member of our CPC family to connect with at least one of our mission partners in 2022, such as serve on the Guatemala mission team, prepare a pot roast for the Lamb Center, teach English at London Towne, or donate time to WFCM food pantry.

ADULT DISCIPLESHIP

  • Initial Connections: Building relationships of care and trust is at the heart of any truly successful pastoral ministry. In particular, our Associate Pastor will reach out to strategic groups (young families, young professionals) critical to the church’s future.
  • Adult Discipleship: With COVID having taken a huge bite out of our ability to have normal Christian community with one another over the last year, rebuilding our Church’s Life Groups is critically important. Our Associate Pastor will prioritize shepherding our Life Groups while also encouraging the development of our men’s and women’s ministries.
  • Leadership Development: We want to be a church where people, transformed by the grace of the gospel, put their faith into action in service to our church, our city, and the world. Helping our members transition from attenders to leaders must be a primary purpose of discipleship.

STUDENTS

  • Vision cast with Associate Pastor and Director of Children’s Ministry to determine what family discipleship will look like.
  • Create a successful transition for students graduating ( 5th grade into the 6th grade).
  • Pilot a 11th & 12th grade small group  leader gathering
  • Plan and prepare our Missions Trips, HS and MS Camps, and retreats.
  • Create a separate ministry identity and space for Middle School students.
  • Continue to equip and grow our student ministry leaders.
  • Also find a solid female role model leader who can act as a role model for our middle school and high school students, and being willing and able to spend time with them outside the ministry.
  • Add students One more role model (real life) and three friends
  • Every student hand on in missions
  • Develop a regular parent communication to support them.

CHILDREN

  • Vision cast with Pastor Paul and JD about what we want family discipleship to look like, creating a cohesive plan for Sunday mornings and the rest of the week. This includes review of the Fresh Start children’s ministry revamp and make sure we are fully reaching potential on Sunday mornings.
  • Plan & equip Sunday School leaders with Go curriculum for the first quarter of 2022 (Jan- March) by early January. Continue to do organization and streamlining to help with transition to new DCM.
  • Begin planning for VBS/ Kid’s Camp in January- recruiting volunteers and leaders so we can open VBS with no capacity limits. VBS June 20-24.
