Your Place in Missions

Connecting and caring for our mission partners takes our whole church family. Our love for God becomes visible as we walk alongside neighbors, near and far. Come and be active with missions.

We seek to love others and further His mercy and justice to “the least of these”. Yet amidst these opportunities to serve the world, we feel privileged to be the Lord’s hands and feet and voice to the poor, the lost, and the hurting.

What are your passions? How has the Lord burdened your heart to serve?

CPC Impact Areas

Church Planting & Evangelism. While all of our missionaries share the message of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, several of them focus primarily on evangelism. Our support undergirds church planting in Nepal and Vietnam. Our campus ministry partners and internet outreaches proclaim the message of faith with creativity and boldness in places where we cannot go, such as in Afghanistan and Burma.

Disaster Relief. When natural disasters strike, immediate needs arise then long-term assistance plans need to be implemented. We ship hygiene and clean-up kits year-round to global crises. Our short-term mission teams participate in long-term recovery projects for victims in the aftermath of hurricanes and floods.

Families & Children. Walking alongside families plays a significant role in our outreaches. We partner with three local schools to provide weekend food to low income families as well as give academic scholarships and weekly mentoring. Our missionaries in Guatemala work with families in impoverished villages; and, our Zambian partner provides home and hope to AIDS orphans and widows.

Poverty, Homelessness & Hunger. CPC cares deeply that people have shelter, clothing, and food. We serve meals, host food drives, give hours in food pantries, and swing hammers to repair homes. We walk alongside a local congregation composed mostly of homeless people. We also send short-term mission teams to serve with ministry partners to rehab homes with those struggling in poverty and personal crises.

Much brokenness exists on the world. Our focus is to come alongside people one at a time to help bring health and healing in the name of Jesus. The missions and outreaches of CPC seek to be the light of Christ through prayer, volunteer hours, and financial support. It’s our joy and privilege to serve!

Where do you sense the Lord prompting you?

We want to connect all of CPC with our family of ministry partners. Would you consider becoming a missionary’s prayer partner, repairing a home with Habitat, preparing a casserole for the Lamb Center, or participating in a short-term mission team?

Please click through the links above to learn more about our partners. Contact Director of Missions Sharon Hoover (sharon@centrevillepres.com) to learn more and to discover how to connect further.
